Signature Share!!!

Hey everybody, I do have a project to post a little later today but I wanted to share this quote that was in the signature line of a lady who a member of a yahoo group that I am on. It is so cute that I had to share it.

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the
intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well
preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways,
chocolate in one hand, Starbucks latte in the other, body
thoroughly used up, totally worn out and
screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

She didn't put who wrote it. Maybe she did but I like it.....

My First Mini

Hello Friends,
Today I'd like to share my first Mini Album. I know I should have used my Flip and made a video but I'm not comfortable yet using it. This mini contains so many pictures that I decided to do a slide show. This way it won't take up so much room.

I made this mini while I was in Atlanta visiting my daughter and her family during the Christmas holidays. I wanted to spend as much time with my grand daughter as I could that I worked on it a little bit at a time. There are a few things I would have done different and things I could have added to bling it up more but I decided that since this was my first one, I wanted to keep it as it is and learn more as I make more. This mini was made using #10 standard sized envelopes, K & Company paper, Prima Flowers, ribbon, fibers, acetate paper and other odds and ends. Page 3 might look kind of strange. I glued a piece of ribbon around the edges of the page and I have a rust colored bling circle that will go on that page with a picture behind it. Until I put a picture there, I just punched a hole in the piece of acetate it was originally attached to. The last page has a picture and journaling spot scalloped circle held together with a magnet. When you open it, there is space for pictures and journaling. Well guys, don't be too hard on me. At least I tried. I will do more and hope they get better and better. Email me if you have any question. Have a nice weekend.

Happy New Year Everyone!!

Hello,
I know it's been a while since I've posted but I'm ready to get back into the fold. First I hope every one had a great Holiday Season. It's a new year and hopefully things will be better for all of us. Not just in our personal lives but our world. I spent the holidays with my daughter and her family in Atlanta. We had a grand time.

I know you have seen the changes to my blog. As of the end of the year I've resigned my position as a Stampin Up demonstrator. There were some personal reasons I will not go into but basically I want to have fun. I spent so much time trying to build a business that it basically took my time away from doing what I want to do. Even though I do not work outside the home, I found that while a SU demonstrator, all my time was spent trying to build a business. I left those responsibilities when I left the Post Office. So on to what I want to do. Now I can participate in challenges and swaps or what ever else I choose to do. But I would like to thank all of you that helped me in my SU business. We had a great time and I really want to continue our friendships. Oh yes, if you still would like to purchase Stampin Up products, I have two very good friends that were a part of my team that will continue to serve you.

While telling you all this, I wanted to share something. I needed a picture. So the quickest thing I could do was make an ATC card. An ATC card is made for you to share or swap with someone else. They are all the same size (3 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches). Some swaps have theme's but basically you do what you want to do. So I decided to share a simple, simple ATC card I made this morning (instead of going on my daily walk). If you'd like to learn more about ATC cards or participate in a Swap, then please email or call me. My email address is cailliersd(at)hotmail.com.
Take care and again Happy New Year.
Hugs,
