Happy Halloween

Hello Everyone,
Tonight we gave out trick or treat candy for the first time in years. My daughter grew up and left home and I would be out of town at the end of every month helping my parents. But this year while thinking about our grand daughter, we decided to give out candy. Today's pictures show the little treat packets I made using the top note die. I made 75 packets and decided that was enough. Much to my surprise we had a lot more treaters than we thought. We gave out all the packets, all the extra candy we had left because I refused to make more than 75, a bag of our personal peppermints AND my husband gave out a bushel of satsumas from our trees. At 10 after 7 we had to close shop. Next year we will definitely be prepared. I took pictures of a few of the children in costumes but did not get permission to post them to this blog, so I'll just show you the candy and my hubby. Have a nice evening and don't forget to set your clocks back.
Hugs,
Sharon

Everyone Loves "Dasher"...

Hi Guys,
I'm a little under the weather so today's share is a card I made a while back and never got a chance to post. I used several techniques to make this card. I used the Big Shot, sponging, masking, stamping, glue and glitter. Hopefully when I get a handle on my Flip Camera, I will start a video technique series. We all love the Dasher stamp which is sold on page 208 of our cagalog. This stamp is so popular because it is sold as a single stamp for only $8.95. If you are interested in purchasing the Dasher Stamp, please call me or go online to my 24/7 store.

Supplies used to make this card:
Dasher Stamp
Snowflake from Patterned Pines Stamp Set (Page 4 in the Holiday Mini)
Dusty Durango Card Stock
Whisper White Card Stock
1 inch punch
Bashful Blue Ink
Dusty Durango Ink
Real Red Ink
Real Red 1 1/4 Striped Grosgrain Ribbon
Tombow Glue
Dazzling Diamonds Glitter

I'd also like to add that my next Workshop will be on Saturday, November 7th. The invitations will go out tonight. If you have not signed up on my site and would like to attend, please do so soon. We will have a great time making Christmas Cards and Tags. I will have give-aways and door prizes. I know the holiday season will soon be here so this is the best time to get together, converse and create. Hope to see you on the 7th.

Guess What?

You can tell that I'm new at this. In my first video, I forgot to tell you that you will need "Adhesive". Without adhesive, how would you put it all together? I don't know how I forgot it because I had all my items right there with me. Anyhow, hopefully next time I won't forget anything.
In the meantime, Have a nice day,
Sharon

Hello Everyone,
Today I'd like to share a video I made with my new Flip Camera. This video is first in a series of video's I plan to make for those of you who read this blog and has never made a greeting card and would like to. I know most of you are way beyond this point but I wanted to do something for those that read this blog who would like to start making cards. It is so fulfilling and relaxing. All your worries fly out the window when you are concentrating on making something for that special person in your life. Relax and enjoy.

My Digital Studio

This month Stampin' Up launched a new type of card making and scrapbooking venue. I know you have heard of "digital scrapbooking" and maybe have not tried it. There are a number of programs out there for digital scrapbooking, but here at Stampin' Up!, we have a program where we can digitally design our own cards and scrapbook pages using our computer. The program is called "My Digital Studio". This program uses all of our signature ink, paper colors, some design papers and a number of our stamp sets and embellishments. If you would like to try your hand at digital scrapbooking then this is the program for you. I have included a video produced by Stampin' Up! to introduce you to "My Digital Studio". If you are interested, please contact me.
Thanks for watching.

They are also fun and easy to make. If you would like to try this project, just leave me a comment and I will give you the particulars.

Build A Bear Card

Hello Everyone,
Today I'd like to share a card I just put in the mail for my 3 year old granddaughter. She is under the weather. I hope she likes it and know that her grandparents love her very much. The design for this card came from a video on YouTube. I tweaked it a little for my needs. The lady on YouTube said that she could not remember who originally made it but she got the idea from Splitcoast Stampers. Anyway, whoever came up with the original idea, I thank you. I know my granddaughter will enjoy the card.

Autumn Project

Hello Friends,
Today I'd like to share with you a project I made at a fellow demonstrator's workshop this past weekend. This bag is filled with ingredients called a "Blessing Mix". We used Stampin' Up! medium (4x6) cellophane bag and a top note tag to cover the filled bag. We attached a print out of the ingredients of the "Blessing Mix" and what they meant. Before we attached the bag, we stamped it with the swirl from the "Yummy for You" stamp set. This is a retired set but I am sure there are plenty out there. We also included a corduroy button in pumpkin pie and I made a bow with our linen thread around the button. I think it is the cutest project to share during your Thanksgiving festivities and a way to let your friends and families know that they are blessed. What do you think?

Retro Card Share

Hi Everyone,
I'd like to share with you a card I recently made using Stampin' Up! "Holiday Lounge" patterned paper. This paper is on page 162 of our catalog. I call it my retro card because if you look at all the papers in this set, they have a sort of Retro Look. Embellishments were taken from the "Merry & Bright" rub-ons on page 25 in the Holiday Mini. I used SU's silver elastic cord also sold in the holiday mini.
