More Convention Make and Takes!!

Hello Everyone,
I know you are tired of hearing me say I'm "Missing in Action". I'm still in Atlanta and will be returning home on Sunday afternoon the 6th. I might be missing but I am definitely "in action" because I have been going over the things we learned at the Convention. The information I learned, I hope, will helping me grow my business by giving you the best service I can. Instead of looking at the catalog and saying, 'Oh, I like that!", I'm looking at things in the catalog and trying to decide if "my customers would like that". I have a lot of ideas and I hope I will be able to share them with you. My next workshop will be on Saturday, September 12th. Your invitation will be coming in the next couple of days. If you do not receive an email and would like to attend, please call me at 337-962-8433.

I mailed some of you a Mini Holiday Catalog. Except for the Design Studio Program, you will be able to order anything on Sept. 1st. There are a couple of hostess incentives from this catalog that I will explain in my next post. It's exciting news for someone who would like to host a workshop.

My project share today are make and takes from the Convention. I think they are so cute and will include them and others at my workshop.
Hugs,
Sharon

Convention Make & Takes

Hello Everyone,
This last week has been a very busy one for me. Yesterday (Friday) we left for Atlanta, made it here safely and got a chance to see our grandbaby before bedtime.
Today was her birthday party and there was a large turnout. She knew this day was special for her. She told her mother that she wanted a princess/dora party and that was exactly what she got. It was so cute seeing the boys at the party with their princess or dora party hat's on. It didn't seem to matter because they really had fun.

O.K. back to my share for today. At the convention, one of our sessions was a make and take. We knew the session was 2 and a half hours but what we didn't know was that we had 8 projects to complete in that time frame. I started and did a few things but realized I would never get it all done. Everyone was rushing trying to get everything stamped and punched. Finally I decided to stop freaking out and made up my mind to complete my projects when I got home. Anyway it was my birthday and I needed no stress. So I just sat back and watched the others and drank a coke.

One of the make and takes is shown above. It is the new "Treat Boxes" on page 159 in our Catalog and Idea Book. They come 5 in a pack for only $3.95. The gingerbread sentiment is from the "Sweet Seasons" stamp set (18.95) on page 29 in our catalog. The ribbon is our new "Real Red 1 in. Double Stiched Grosgrain" on page 182 in the catalog (8.95 for 10 yards). I think the treat boxes are one of the best deals in the book. They sre 6 1/8 inches tall and can be used for a number of things. I was thinking about using them for baked cookies and candy for the holidays but I also realized they are large enough to put greeting cards in for a hostess gift (If you'd like to host a workshop, just contact me). To get a good look at these boxes please check the catalog. My camera is not giving me nice pictures or I might need to take a class. Stay tuned for more. Have a nice weekend,
Hugs,
Sharon

Workshop Projects

I am so sorry to say that I had to cancel my workshop planned for Saturday the 15th. I have been sick ever since we returned from convention. That is the reason I haven't posted much since I got back. But I'm feeling better today and was able to go out and get about 200 pictures from the convention printed at Walgreens. Anyway, I prepared 4 projects for my workshop. Two of the projects were based on cards I received from my swaps which are shown above. The other two are down below on my last post. Enjoy and thanks for understanding.
Hugs,
Sharon

Convention Highlights

Hi Everyone,
I am finally starting to feel normal again. The convention was awesome. We had a great time. My fellow demonstrator Suzie and I had a safe trip to Salt Lake City and back. We thank God for that. The convention was fun and informative. Although I am not as tired as I was when I returned, I'm still on a convention high. We stayed at the Marriot Hotel right across the street from the Convention Center where all the activities were held. This was great because if we had to go back to our room, all we had to do was to go out the convention door and cross the street.

I didn't take my swaps the first day and regretted it. Demo's were swapping even in the hotel. Suzie and I took so many pictures and it was so hard to choose which ones we liked best. The first shot I'd like to show you is of our hotel room. It was very nice and comfortable.

On the 4th, the day we arrived, I took a few pictures of swaps made by my upline Angie. They were so cute. This is just the beginning.

Here is another of Angie's swaps. This is actually a gift card holder. Isn't it precious?

And here's the final picture I took of one of her swaps. She made over 200 different card fronts, cards, and 3-D items.

When I get the time, I am going to pick a number of cards and make a slide show and place it in my sidebar. Z, my sweet daughter, I might need your help on this one.
Hugs,
Sharon
