Spring Bag!!

Hello ladies!  For today's share I made a gift bag using the Big Shot Top Note Die.  I've made these before but used regular SU cardstock. My upline Angie made one using some Designer Series Paper(DSP) and I thought it was cute but I felt the DSP would be kind of thin.  I decided to make mine using the light white card board that comes in the pack of our DSP to keep the paper from bending.  It was just the right thickness I needed.  So, I took a couple pieces of the white card board and cut it out with the Top Note Die in the Big Shot. Then I cut out a couple of pieces of the DSP I wanted to use and glued it on top using our glue stick from SU.  Because I used the Big Shot, they were exactly the same size and fit perfectly.  Next I took a white paper bag (3 1/2  x 2 x 6 3/4 purchased from Hobby Lobby) and cut it about 2 1/4 in from the bottom. I glued both Top Note cut outs to the paper sack making sure they were even. I then cut the top with the Word Window Punch.  On the outside, I attached a butterfly from our Big Shot Sizzix series with a designer button.  For the sentiment I used the new Scalloped Oval from SU and the Large Oval Punch.  I tied a piece of So Saffron 5/8 inch grosgrain ribbon through the Word Window Punch at the top and added some yellow paper grass. It is a cute bag to put some Easter candy in for a special friend or co-worker.  If you need specifics on making this bag, please email or call me.  Hugs, Sharon

Would You Like To Become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator?

Being a SU Demonstrator has been so much fun for me. I truly love it. For those of you that would like to get a discount, preview and ordering of new items before anyone else sees them with an additional discount on new stamps, loads of fun and the ability to create beautiful stamped cards and scrapbook pages, then this is the deal for you.

During this month (Sale-A-Bration), Stampin' Up! is discounting the starter kit by 15%.  The kit is worth $355.00 and until the end of March it will cost $169.00.  Normally it's $199.00 plus tax. The best part of this deal is that Stampin' Up! is offering a 3 payment plan.  Here are the specifics: The $169.99 is broken down into 3 payments.  For your first payment (which is charged at the time you sign up is $56.34 plus sales tax.  The second payment which will be charged around April 15th will be $56.33 and the third payment charged around May 15th will be 56.33 for a total of $169.00.  What I love about the deal is that you will receive your kit after the first payment. If you would like more information, please contact me as soon as possible. Thanks for reading.  Hugs!!

Flower Card

Hello readers!  Today's share is a simple flower card with Grass!!! Can you believe it.  I decided to add grass at the last minute. I hope it look like grass.  I got this idea from one of the blogs I follow called kwernerdesign.com. I tweaked it and made it my own.  I used all SU products. Hope you like it.  Hugs!!

Hello Faithful Followers and Friends!!

Today's share is a small notebook that you can decorate and carry in your purse to jot down notes or other information. Believe me, I'd have to leave mine in my car because there's no telling what will happen to it in my purse.  Anyway, the notebook is the small 4 1/2 by 4 3/4 little notebooks you can get from the Dollar Store, Walmart or Walgreens. I made a lot of these during the holidays and decided to try it with our new Designer Series Paper.  The design is from page 80 in Stampin' Up's Spring and Summer catalog but this one was made my me with a few changes. I used the Bella Bleu Designer Paper to cover the notebook and the ultra thick brown and dotted white paper from our Parisian Breeze DP for the band.  I included brown taffeta ribbon and  a white button from Button Latte. I tied a small filigree designer brad at the end of the ribbon which is on the inside of the little notebook to be used as a book mark.  If you would like to reproduce this project and need particulars, just contact me.

Thanks to all who attended my workshops this weekend.  We had a fabulous time.  Mark your calendar for April 4th.  More details will come later.  Hugs, Sharon

Simple Monogram Card

Today while getting ready for my workshop this weekend, I felt like doing something else
for just a few minutes.  I decided to make this simple monogram card. The scalloped circles and the "S" were cut with my Cricut machine using the Storybook Cartridge.  The blue base of the card and the blue scalloped circle were cut out of SU card stock called "Bashful Blue". I then used the Big Shot and the dots texture plate to give it a little "umph".  The larger scalloped circle was cut in Chocolate Chip.  My monogram was cut from our new Speciality Paper called "Parisian Breeze". This paper is awesome. It is card stock weight and has a pattern  on both sides. It is excellent for making boxes because it is so sturdy.  The ribbon is the satin chocolate chip. Except for the Cricut machine, all items can be found in the Spring Summer SU catalog.

I am looking forward to this weekend for our March workshop.  I really hope you will "BEE" here. See Ya!!
