Swap Entries

Hi Everyone,

I'm back from Atlanta for what is my first leg in my journey of getting my 2nd grandbaby born and taking care of my 3 year old grand daughter. We arrived home yesterday after a long 9 hr drive and I have to say that she was such a good girl. So far today we have completed two projects. We made shapes with a play dough set and we made a card with a machine and die called the Cuttle Kids. Thanks LisaLisa for this die machine. She really love it.

Today I'm sharing a picture of a couple of swaps I participated in recently. I took a picture of everything together because it would be too many pictures to post. The tags shown are two of five I made. I made 3 with ribbon and 2 with fun fur. As for the flowers, I had to make 3 of each of the six shown. The light green one was made along with a pink and a purple one. I used white card stock and sprayed them with Starburst Stains from Lindy's Stamp Gang. Also for the flowers we had to put them on a decorated card and inclose them in plastic like they do the Prima Flowers. So I made 3 of each of the designs shown and packaging for each three. Hope you like them. I will be posting sparatically because we are awaiting the birth of the new baby so pray for us and take care.
Hugs,

New Video

Hi Everyone,

For those of you that are not subscribed to my channel on YouTube, I'd like to invite you to watch a new video I've uploaded. Please remember that it's only my 4th video and I'm still a newbie at all of this.
I have to learn how not be nervous, how to stay in focus and how to edit among other things. I forgot to take a picture of this project but hopefully the video will be good enough to let you know what I have going on.
Here's the link to my video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcTLEx1GlTI.
Take care everybody.
Hugs,
Sharon

O.K. It's Been Almost a Month...

since I've posted. I have still been under the weather and taking a lot of tests. I feel better this week and have been doing a few things. Since I last posted I am involved in 3 swaps. One I have already sent out and the other two I am still working on. I will post my swaps as soon as they are completed. What I am sharing today is a picture of the cover of a journal I made recently. I consider it an Art Journal but I am putting any and everything in it that I want. I made the cover using patterned paper, card stock, pictures from the internet, tissue paper, ribbon, bling, flowers and just about anything else I could find to put on it. I just collaged it all together to give it a grungy look. It was fun being messy and not having a particular technique that I had to follow. The stuff I have in it so far are things that I like. I have regular journaling, pictures, paintings, drawing and all kind of stuff. It's really fun because this journal (other than the cover) will not be shared with anyone. It is mine all mine. I have no fear. Until next time,

Hugs,

Happy Mother's Day

I want to wish all of my friends and readers a very Happy Mother's Day. Whether you have given birth or not, I feel that all women have been a mother figure to someone at some point in their lives. I have been enjoying my day and hope you have also.
Today's share is a card I sent to my daughter for Mother's Day. I made and mailed it last Wednesday but could not share it with you all because she is a subscriber and would have seen it before I wanted her to. The card base is by Recollections which I bought in a set at Michael's. It has a glittery effect without the glitter if you can understand that. The paper I used is kind of wild which I thought my daughter would like. I would have used Vintage paper but decided to use this because of the colors. I distressed and curled up the edges of the paper. I added one of the lollypop flowers I made and an envelope using the Stampin Up! envelope sizzix die. I cut it out using the same paper that the card was made from. I took a piece of white trim and sprayed it with Walnut Gold Glimmer Mist and attached some pearls above it. I tied some cream and gold twine around the top of the little envelope to keep it closed. I used Tim Holtz' Alcohol Ink in gold to change the color of a silver heart I also attached to the envelope. Inside of the envelope (which I didn't take a picture of) I have a little card that says "Happy Mother's Day". When I told my daughter that she could untie the twine and open the envelope to take the card out she asked me what it said and I told her only Happy Mother's Day. She then said that she wanted to leave the card like it was and would not open the envelope to make sure it stayed like I sent it. I wonder if she would have opened it if I told her that there was a $100 bill in it? :) On the inside of the card I wrote a message to her. Please enjoy the rest of your day. I sure am.

Painted Canvas Project

Hi everyone,

Today I want to share a project I made which was part of a UStream class I took Friday night. The class was given by one of my YouTube friends called "YolieBean". She live on the West Coast so there was a 2 hr difference in time. The class for me started at 9:00 PM Friday night. I ended up getting into the class 35 minutes late because I was trying to get some of the things we needed to do for the class done ahead of time so I could keep up. I took a nap earlier on Friday evening so I would be fresh and ready to create. Well I lost track of time and by the time I got in she had already started and I was 35 minutes late. Thank God the class was recorded because I was able to go back and see what I missed. So instead of making the project with her, I didn't start until Saturday.

This is a canvas plaque I hopefully someday will be able to put on the wall in my craft room. Two of the flowers (the lollypop in the lower left and the one on the upper right side were made by me. The other two were Primas. This was the first time I have ever painted on canvas and I really enjoyed it. I might try another project using canvas later. What ever I do I have to get it done before my new grand baby arrive this summer. Have a nice week and take care.

Happy Birthday Honey!!

Hi Everyone,
Yesterday was my husband's birthday. Instead of a card, I decided to make him a birthday tag. I don't know whether he's into the vintage look or not, but whenever I show him something he says he like it. So yesterday morning I told him his card (instead of tag) was on the island in the kitchen. He kept saying he didn't see it. What he was looking for was a card. So I got up and gave him his Birthday Tag. The colors I used were mainly blue and gold (yellow) These are the colors he really love. They are the colors for the high school he taught at. Now, unless he's going to work, everything he wear is navy blue, yellow or gold. I made the flower inspired by Claudia66 from YouTube and also used a few of Tim Holtz' products. I sprayed the tag with Iridescent gold glimmer mist. On the back of the tag (I forgot to take a picture), I attached a coin pocket I made using the vintage paper I have on the right side of the front of the tag. In the pocket I included a small tag with a nice message and some money. I think he liked the tag but probably the money the most. After what happened 3 years ago, I am truly blessed to have him healthy again.

LollyPop Flowers

Hello Everyone,
I know it has been two weeks since I last posted but it has been one thing after the other with the way I have been feeling. Hopefully this last doctor's appointment will settle everything. Shown today are a few things I have been working on. They are all the rage on You Tube. They are called Lollypop Flowers by some. A number of people have uploaded video's on how to make them but Jade from Jaded Studios was the first one I saw. They were very simple to make except for having to burn the edges of the circles. I haven't gotten that down exactly but I think they look pretty good to use on my layouts or my mini albums. I don't have the channel at hand but if anyone would like to try their hand at making them, just leave me a message.

The next think I'd like to share with you is my new adventure. I will be selling Prima Flowers and embellishments on my new Etsy site. Hopefully I will have it up by this weekend. You will be able to purchase these beautiful flowers from me at a real good price. Isn't it strange that I'm here making flowers for myself and selling Primas. But everyone are familiar with Prima Flowers, they are absolutely beautiful. So look for a post soon on my new shop. Hopefully my daughter will help me get it together.
Have a nice week and God Bless.

Note Cards!!

Hello Everyone, I know it has been a while since I've posted but I have been out of town. My husband and I spent a week with my daughter and her family. Prior to that I had not been feeling well. Anyhow I'd like to thank those of you that have called to see how I was feeling and to wish me well. I still have not found the charger for my camera. I guess it is time that I order another charger or get another camera. I have been complaining about my old camera for so long that maybe it is time I try another one. The note cards I am sharing were made about 9 months ago and I used all Stampin' Up! products. I made four of each note cards. These are great to send to a friend or family as a gift or to use them for yourself. The pictures were taken by my daughter. Enjoy!
